Welcome to the McDonald group website. The research undertaken in the group is in focussed on the structure-property relationship in polymers and colloids. There are two main themes of research: 1) biomaterials with an emphasis on drug delivery. 2) polymer science of recycled plastics.
The primary research topics include polymer characterisation, organic particle and nanoparticle synthesis, responsive materials, self-assembly, nanosuspensions and polymer chemistry.
